Mmmm, burger.

Start of the weekend! Should be awesome, right? Unfortunately not. I am currently working - there is no rest for the weary...and the weary are defined as accountants during tax season. Thankfully it's just a half day, and I have one project to complete.

Last night I had some fun =) And quite honestly, I don't feel the least bit guilty about it. I should, because it's not helping me with my goal of a 2 pound loss this week, but in retrospect, I did better last night than I ever have when confronted with temptation.

We decided to eat out (because who wants to cook on a Friday night?), so we headed to Quaker Steak & Lube, a place known for its smothered wings & giant burgers. Just as PriorFatGirl said, "I WANTED A CHEESEBURGER." I also had a coupon for buy one burger, get one free, and I knew without a doubt that hubby would get a burger. With bacon. Lots and lots of bacon. (On a side note, I strongly dislike bacon. I am one of the very few who cannot stand the smell or taste of the "greasy strips of goodness" that my DH calls them - what a blessing!)

I digress. I ordered my burger with a (gasp) side of fries and (double-gasp) ranch dressing and (triple-gasp) an alcoholic iced tea. This is where I earn back some points though. I cut my burger in half. I ate slowly. And I stopped when I felt full. Sadly, that left half of the burger and half of the fries untouched. Victory for my calorie intake, but it does anger me a bit that a restaurant gives such HUGE portions that you have to pay for, but don't eat!

I did finish my drink, then had two more drinks when we got home & played a drinking game while watching Family Guy "It's a Trap!", which is hilarious for those who aren't offended easily. I was in bed by 11:00 pm, which is awesome for a Friday night.

I do need to take this moment out to complain a bit, just between you and I. Hubby went over to our friends' place to play video games after I went to bed, which was completely okay with me. It's a weekend, have some fun, right? Unfortunately, he then made two very poor choices in my opinion. He ordered Glass Nickel Pizza, which is known for its grease. Right up hubby's alley. Why didn't he just finish his burger at dinner? His second bad decision of the evening/morning was to come home @ 5:15 AM, turn on a bunch of lights, and wake his dear wife up. The same dear wife who had to be up early and work as opposed to his plans, which I can guess right now consist of sleeping like the dead. Some consideration please!

Okay, moving on. Today I'm hoping for a good lifting workout (yesterday I walked/ran for a half an hour), then tonight I'm going to do everything in my power to have a HEALTHY dinner...something to do with chicken I think. Hope everyone's weekend is fantastic!
